IoT billing runs process
Use this tab to generate billing batches for a utility period.What this process does
- Creates a billing batch from approved consumption
- Applies active tariff rules
- Tracks run status and totals
Before you start
- Consumption is validated and ready
- Tariffs are confirmed for the period
- Branch and billing window are correct
Step-by-step
- Open Billing Runs.
- Create a new run for the target period.
- Confirm run settings (period, tariff, branch).
- Start the run and monitor its status.
- Open run details to review totals and outcomes.
- Move to Billing Run Items for detailed exception handling.
Common issues and actions
- Run fails early: Check missing configuration (tariff or branch context).
- Unexpected totals: Re-check consumption filters and rate setup.
- Partial completion: Review failed items and rerun impacted subset.
Done when
- Run status is complete or reconciled
- Totals match expected utility billing outcomes
- Failed items are triaged in the next process tab
