Residents
The Residents area in Nyumba Zetu holds your tenant (resident) records: contact details, linked leases, and related actions.Where to find residents
- Sign in to the app.
- In the sidebar, click Residents.
- You’ll see a list of residents. Use search or filters to find someone.
Adding a resident
- From Residents, click Add (or New resident).
- Enter at least: name, email, phone (and any required fields).
- Save. You can then select this resident when creating or editing a lease.
Viewing and editing a resident
- Click a resident in the list to open their profile.
- You can edit contact details, link to leases, and use any tenant-specific actions (e.g. documents, statements) your app provides.
Residents and leases
- Each resident can be linked to one or more leases (e.g. current and past).
- When creating a lease, you choose the resident (tenant). Billing and communications typically use the contact info on the resident record.
